  The Physicists
The physicists have declared that there is no thing such as centrifugal force and that instead this phenomena is best described by using the term Centripetal Force. We will continue to resist the temptation to change these references as we have no doubt that the majority of you out there understand what is meant when the term centrifugal force is mentioned.
  Why?
Although we make every attempt to be accurate with the articles on the site, we have to communicate using terminology that the average model racer out there understands. If that means being incorrect as far as the elite are concerned, then so be it. If we were to suddenly change all references to centripetal force, we would add unnecessary confusion and would have to continually explain the difference in the thinking of the forces that are involved.
  Centrifugal & Centripetal Forces
We are willing to bet that many of you have never even heard of centripetal force but, if you want to know more then we have an article that uses Macromedia Flash content to inform you about;
