PB Racing PB Racing Mustang
The PB Racing model car company produced the Mustang X3 quite some time ago and we have decided to republish the manual on-line as a reference.
This will help both those who still have one of these cars as well any other modeller who is interested in cars from the past.

  Anti-Roll Bar
Pack No. 42/107??

The anti-roll bar (46/107) should be fitted to the top plate by means of two saddle clamps and spacer plates (46/219) secured by two No.4 x 1/2" screws (22/312).
Fit a brass collar (17/207) about 15mm in from each end of the anti-roll bar and secure with an M3 grub screw (06/57). Now fit the spherical end of a drop link (46/215) over the projecting end of the anti-roll bar and secure with another collar and grub screw.

Fit a drop link to each side of the anti-roll bar.
The bottom end of the drop links should now be fixed to the lower wishbone by means of a No.4 x 1/2" screw which passes through the link and screws into the central boss on the front of the wishbone.
  Steering

Fit the pivot post (43/230) to the chassis using an M4 x 12 bolt (22/256) fitted through the hole in the chassis which is located approximately 48mm in front of the rectangular flywheel access hole.
Fit a 19 x 7 x 6mm bearing to the recess provided in each side of the bell crank moulding (42/234). Fit two ball ended screws to the holes in the top of the bell crank ensuring that the arm for the servo linkage is facing to the left of the car.

Now fit the bell crank to the pivot post and secure with an e-clip (22/304). See photograph.
Assemble the front track rods (long) (42/222) to their track rod end mouldings (42/204) so that there is 42mm between the inner ends of the mouldings. Snap the inner ends of the track rods onto the ball headed screws on the bell crank.
Fit the ball headed screws to the rear face of the rear plate (46/222) using the central holes at the outer ends and secure with two M3 self-locking nuts (22/253). Please note that the plate is wider at the top than the bottom.
Now fix the plate to the back face of the rear differential housing using two No.10 x 5/16" screws and make sure that the ball headed screws are facing backwards.
Assemble four ball joint mouldings (42/204) to the two rear track rods (short) (46/216) and adjust equally to leave 21mm between the inside faces of the mouldings.

Now snap the rear track rods onto the ball headed screws on the rear plate.
Fit the front steering arms (42/235) (large) to the axle block assemblies with No.4 x 3/8" screws (22/238) and fit a ball ended screw to the TOP of the steering arm, securing it with an M3 self-locking nut.
Repeat for the rear steering arms (42/236) (small), but fit the ball ended screws to the UNDERNEATH of the steering arms. The photograph shows the correct orientation.
