PB Racing PB Racing Mustang
The PB Racing model car company produced the Mustang X3 quite some time ago and we have decided to republish the manual on-line as a reference.
This will help both those who still have one of these cars as well any other modeller who is interested in cars from the past.

Now fit the three 6mm x 13mm bearings (22/315) into the plummer-blocks (43/245) and please check that the bearings are pressed fully home - the face of the bearing should be only very slightly (0.1mm) proud of the face of the plummer-block - it may be necessary to use a vice for this operation.
Fit the one-way clutch/hexagon gear carrier (43/108) to the short headed 6mm diameter shaft so that the groove for the gear retaining circlip is adjacent to the head.

Fit a plummer-block/bearing to the pin so the the bearing is next to the gear carrier. Now fit a 31T gear (43/244A) to the carrier and secure with a circlip (22/259). Note: It may be necessary to chamfer the insides of the hexagon and round holes in the gear to facilitate fitting. The gear is a tight fit on the carrier but you should be able to push it home by hand. Now fit the plummer-block to the chassis using two No.4 x 3/8" screws (22/238) - check that the gear is correctly aligned and in full mesh with the gear on the front differential support.
Place a 1/4" bore hardened thrust washer (12/204) over the large diameter half shaft (43/232) at the gear end of the differential followed by a bearing/plummer-block assembly with the bearing side facing the differential. Now fit the coupling (43/233) to secure this assembly (make sure that the raised centre boss is facing the plummer-block) and lock the coupling with an M4 x 6mm grub screw (22/212) using thread locking compound. The centre differential may now be fitted to the chassis and the plummer-block secured with two No.4 x 3/8" screws - make sure that the front shaft is correctly located in the hexagon driver on the differential. Secure the front shaft (43/247) to the coupling with an M3 grub screw (06/57) using thread locking compound.
Take the rear shaft (43/248) (114mm long & 6mm diameter) and loosely fit a rear hexagonal driver (43/235) to the shaft with an M4 x 6mm grub screw (22/212) using the flat which is further away from the end of the shaft and do not tighten the grub screw.
Now fit a plummer-block/bearing assembly to the shaft so that the bearing is against the hexagonal carrier. This assembly should now be fitted to the chassis and the front end of the shaft secured in the coupling (43/233) at the rear of the differential using an M4 x 6mm grub screw (22/212) and thread locking compound. Now secure the plummer-block with two No.4 x 3/8" screws (22/238) and lock the hexagonal carrier in position just touching the bearing using an M4 x 6mm grub screw and thread locking compound.
The 37 tooth gear (43/242) may now be fitted to the hexagonal carrier and secured with a circlip (22/259) - it will be easier to remove the centre drive from the car with to fit this gear.
