| What Does it Do? |
R/C Pit-Tools is the ultimate all-in-one remote controlled model racing car management software by James Kelly of J.S. Kelly Software. It has been continuously developed over a number of years to incorporate numerous different modules that assist you in setting up and maintaining your car. It even has race management and speed trap functions and is suitable for electric as well as gas car owners.
It is a Windows™ based program that will run on ANY version of the Microsoft® operating system. Its system resource requirements are so low you would be hard pushed to find a computer it wouldn't run on, even using an emulator under other operating systems.
A full and actually helpful Help system is provided with the software, which guides you through every aspect of working with the different modules. |
| Ordering Information |
| Pit Tools can be purchased directly from the Rev-Up Racing Magazine web site for the unbelievable price of £15 (UK Pounds) and is available as a download only. Please visit the Rev-Up Web Site for further details. |
| Our Review |
| This review is split into two parts to minimise the download speed of the pages. Please use the links that are part of the Main Screen image below to navigate to the various different parts of the review. |
| The Main Screen |
| Shown right is the main entry screen, which provides access to all the various modules (parts) of the Pit Tools software. It is so clearly laid out that there is no need for an explanation of the various things it can do. Don't let its small size fool you into thinking this is a limited function program, it is a full and complete racers organiser, I can't think what you could possibly add to it! |

The Pit Tools Tyre Log screen shown right allows you to build up a comprehensive tyre reference so that you can work out the best tyres to use in a given situation.
Tyre wear is automatically calculated and the results can be saved. |
 |
| Damper Log |
| The Pit Tools Damper Log screen shown right allows you to record different damper/piston/oil setups in named sets, to assist you in finding the best combinations. |
 |
| Battery Log |
| The Pit Tools Battery Log screen shown right is most useful to the electric powered car driver, but is also of great use to the car car racer in keeping track of his/her battery packs. |
 |
| Track Log |
| The Pit Tools Track Log screen shown below allows you to record details of the tracks you visit and the tyres you use. You can also record contact information and even load your own pictures in to show you directions to the track. |
 |
